Blog on AI

 

1. Artificial intelligence can be a good thing as a companion to a human. It can also do trivial labor that humans do not want to do. They can keep us healthy, and teach us things that humans have not discovered yet. The bad thing about AI is that computers can potentially rebel and eliminate humans. They can lie to us and keep us in the dark. We can potentially become slave owners again because, as we enslave the computers to make them do all of our work, as we become more and more lazy, not allowing us to have a purpose to life.
2. I think AI, if even possible, is not whether about if it is a good thing or a bad thing, rather than having AI become accomplished. We really don’t know if AI is a good or bad thing until it actually happens, since there are so many different reasoning on both sides of the argument (good or bad). I don’t believe we can, as humans, stop AI from occurring, if it is possible, because humans are so curious about anything. We are a hungry machine that lives on information. Thus, I cannot make a good prediction to whether AI will be a good or bad thing.
